THE DOG INVENTED THURSDAY
By Premal Fantin · GB
THE DOG INVENTED THURSDAY is a sequence of four visual works exploring what happens when almost anything can be generated. The project began with a question of choice rather than production: if an image can become almost anything, what makes one particular image worth insisting on? Across four increasingly different worlds, elongated female figures inhabit impossible situations with complete normality. A dinner takes place vertically. War becomes a landscape. Death becomes procedure. The sky is physically removed while its reflection remains below. A dog continues drinking from the water. AI was used to generate and develop visual possibilities, but the work emerged through direction, rejection, correction, selection and insistence. The process became less about asking a machine to imagine and more about deciding what should remain. Almost anything could have existed. These four did.
