Flower Market

This piece represents the experience of feeling overwhelmed while surrounded by things that are beautiful, lively, and full of life. The flower market is intentionally vibrant and almost overwhelming, filled with color, movement, people, and flowers, while the solitary figure at its center appears frozen and disconnected from everything around her. The contrast between the abundance surrounding her and her isolation is meant to capture the feeling of being present in the world without feeling like you belong in it. The flowers represent beauty, life, and possibility, while the blurred movement of the crowd reflects how overwhelming the outside world can become. Rather than depicting sadness through darkness, I wanted to explore what it feels like when even beautiful surroundings become difficult to process.
