The Other Side of Consciousness
By Ming Yi · TW
This work explores the distinction between genuine understanding and superficial appearance. It does not seek to prove or deny machine consciousness, but invites audiences to reflect how much of our perception is built from our own expectations. A thin linear object sits in a gallery corner; its shadow transforms into abstract digital symbols, revealing the gap between visible surface and hidden underlying reality. Human judgment defines composition, negative space and conceptual narrative. It aims to shift how we observe things, suggesting human value lies in recognizing when an answer remains incomplete.
