Help · Step 3

What you get back, and when.

Once you submit, three things travel back to you: a confirmation email, a decision email, and — if your entry is approved and selected for publication — a gallery listing. Here is what each one looks like and the rough timing.

1. Verification email — within minutes

Sent after you request verification. Contains a one-time link. Click it and your participant record is marked verified; you can now reach the submission form. If the link expires or fails, request a new one from the verification page.

2. Submission confirmation — within minutes of upload

Sent the moment your upload is accepted into the queue. It contains:

  • Subject line: Submission received: [reference code]
  • Your unique reference code (also visible on screen).
  • The title you entered.
  • Original file name(s).
  • SHA-256 fingerprint(s) of the exact bytes we stored.

Why we send the fingerprint. If there is ever a dispute about which version of a file you submitted — yours vs. ours, or before/after a tool exported it — the SHA-256 is definitive. Keep this email.

3. Decision email — after human review

A real moderator reviews your entry. When they make a call, one of two emails is sent:

  • Submission approved: [reference code] — your entry is eligible for the jury and may be considered for the public gallery.
  • Submission update: [reference code] — your entry is not moving forward.

If your entry is flagged or needs follow-up, you may receive a personal message instead of a templated one. Reply to that thread and we will continue from there.

Timing. We do not publish a fixed SLA. Review windows tighten as the 1 November 2026 deadline approaches; early submissions get the longest, calmest reviews.

4. Gallery publication — optional, separate decision

Approved entries are eligible for the public gallery at /gallery. This is a separate admin decision and not all approved entries are published. Publication includes:

  • A public title and display name (we may differ from your private title).
  • A public description.
  • A cover asset.
  • Optional Featured flag, used sparingly to highlight strong work.

Once published, the public can vote on your entry (also email-verified). Votes feed audience signals into the final jury process.

5. Winner announcement — 1 November 2026

The Human After All Prize winner is announced on 1 November 2026. If you win you are contacted directly on your verified email. The result is also posted on the Conveneo landing page and the gallery.
