The Awakening of Sensibility
By MILITYNSKYY KOSTYANTYN · UA
An artificial humanoid holds a living lamb in a pose that recalls the iconography of the Madonna and Child. A familiar image of tenderness and care is transferred to a non-human body, creating a tension between sacred association and artificial presence. The work explores the boundary between the reproduction of human imagery and the meanings we recognise within it. Can an artificial figure embody a human gesture without sharing the experience behind it, or does the gesture itself already begin to generate meaning?
