The Last Thing AI Could Never Feel
By Nasrin Sultana · BD
The artwork, titled “The Last Thing AI Could Never Feel,” explores the difference between knowing human emotions and actually feeling them. In a world where artificial intelligence can communicate like humans, create images, write stories, solve problems, and even offer comfort in difficult times, one question remains: can artificial intelligence really feel human emotions? The artwork focuses on emotions like love, loneliness, pain, separation, waiting, heartbreak, and hope. It highlights a simple but important distinction—AI can understand, describe, and interpret human emotions through words and data, but it cannot live through those emotions the way humans do. The artwork also looks to a future where artificial intelligence will become so advanced that it will be able to describe emotions so realistically that it may seem like it is actually feeling them. But knowing the language of feelings and carrying the burden of feelings are not the same thing.
