Withness
By Elena Matveeva · RU
"Withness" is a stark look at the stubborn persistence of warmth in a frozen universe. Against a landscape bled dry of color, through an isolating fog that chokes the horizon, two solitary silhouettes trace a fractured stone path. They are separate, wrapped in their own silence and shadow, yet bound by a quiet, undeniable truth: they are walking together. The fierce, pulsing red of the flora is a jolt of feeling in the muted grass, a vibrant claim to empathy. This image is a refusal to surrender to distance. It is proof that in a vast, mechanical void, we still possess the power to remain alongside through the deepest gray.
