One Another
By Harpreet Kaur · IN
We treat our work as our own, believing we shape our lives solely by our own hands. Yet, the boundary of our labor does not end with us. What we do reaches someone else. One person’s effort makes ours possible, our work becomes part of another’s day, and theirs flows forward to someone new. Most of these people will never meet, yet their labor remains deeply intertwined. The work may be ours, but its resonance never belongs to us alone. This continuous flow brings diverse forms of work together—the tactile labor of hands, the weight of thought and decision-making, the structure of plans, and the technologies shaped through human work. Different forms, but one continuous ecosystem. The luminous threads in the image are a visual metaphor for this unseen flow. They do not merely link people; they trace how one act of labor naturally arrives at another. We may remain strangers to one another. Yet, our work brings us together. ONE ANOTHER — because we do not just exist beside each other; we exist within each other’s work.
