The Freedom To Care

The Freedom to Care explores empathy as an expression of human freedom. Two figures emerge from light within a vast, cold field of particles. One begins to walk away, then pauses and turns towards the other. The space between them warms from blue to gold. Connection becomes shelter, and the warmth of one act of care travels beyond them into the surrounding world. The film reflects my belief that human life is a gift, carrying the ability to make choices. We can pass another life by, or notice it and respond. A life is a gift. Care is a choice.
