The AI Controversy, AI video, 2022-23, Lukas Lex and Moritz Wildburger At the outset of the generative-AI boom, statements from the surrounding public discourse were collected and reassigned, via AI voice- and video-mapping, to the faces of well-known public figures, deliberately mismatched. The result maps out the range of positions in that early debate while using absurdist juxtaposition, from earnest AI-policy claims to non-sequiturs, to needle how quickly authority and comedy blur once opinions are simply repeated in a recognisable mouth.
