Circuit of Consciousness In Circuit of Consciousness, consciousness becomes implicated in the orders it produces. Thought acquires structure, structure acquires agency, and what emerges from experience returns as a condition of experience itself. The work gives spatial form to this recursive movement without resolving consciousness into a determinate origin. An off-centre nucleus draws the gaze into an expanding architecture of concentric bands, interrupted geometries and conductive lines. Their apparent precision is unsettled by the textured, shifting colour beneath them. Order remains in formation: each boundary establishes a distinction while each connection draws it into a wider field. Within Code & Cosmos, this interplay concerns the passage from awareness into constructed reality. The systems through which existence becomes intelligible gain an apparent autonomy, shaping the very perception that sustains them. Digital space intensifies this process, giving abstraction an operative presence and the capacity to generate further orders. The painting places the viewer within that circuit. The gaze follows its pathways, assembles relations and seeks coherence, participating in the activity the work evokes. Consciousness remains both the condition of this encounter and its unresolved subject.
