Borrowed Skin
By Airiquel · CA
The face becomes an unstable archive: stitched, divided, repeated, and partially erased. Two identities occupy the same surface, while hair, skin, seams, and flowing pigment turn the portrait into something closer to a constructed object than a human likeness. The work explores identity not as something fixed, but as a body continuously assembled from memory, perception, and fragments of other selves.
