The Last Word
By Joice Chilaule · MZ
“The Last Word” is a short story about grief, memory, authorship, and the fragile boundary between human experience and artificial intelligence. When a woman asks an AI system to help her express what she never managed to say to her late mother, the machine reveals how deeply it has learned from her words, silences, and memories. The story ultimately asks what remains uniquely ours when technology can reproduce the language of our inner lives.
