AI video essay, 2025/26, Lukas Lex and Moritz Wildburger Where "the AI controversy" (2023) stayed with the rational debate about generative systems, this work turns to what happens on the other side of the interaction: in the person facing the machine. It is an essay on the feelings that arise when encountering AI, and on the emotions and opinions of a debate that has since become more emotional. It is structured around three themes: copying and originality, explored by turning famous artworks into realistic home videos; social media and fake news, a collage of fake photos and videos in an overstimulating social-media style; and the hopes, possibilities and disappointments of working with AI, carried by a voice-over.
