The Thread Between Us

I imagined a world where people have grown distant, fading into the pale stone and repeated shapes around them. At its centre, a father and daughter hold hands. His chest is dark and empty, while hers holds a small, glowing heart. A fine thread of light connects them, passing between their hearts and along their joined hands. To me, it is the bond they share: delicate and almost invisible, yet strong enough to reach someone who has begun to feel hollow. The girl looks up at him with trust, and he looks down at her as if her presence has helped him remember how to feel. Her deep red jacket and warm heart stand out against the muted world, carrying a little colour into all that quiet stone. I wanted this moment to show that even when the world makes us feel distant from one another, love can still help us find our way back.
