In this work, I want to express the tenderness of truly cherishing another life. A girl cradles a cat and lowers her face toward it. Her smile and the cat's relaxed expression bring their affection into a shared, quiet moment. My focus is on the girl's expression: the subtle relationship between her eyes, mouth, and posture that makes her affection feel sincere. Oil-painting-like marks in the hair and floral dress surround the softer rendering of their faces. I use AI as a medium to give form to this feeling, with the hope that viewers will recognize their own experience of holding someone dear.
