Its immense presence raises questions about the systems of growth and consumption that require resources to be constantly uncovered and removed. Bucket wheel excavator: used in real life to continuously extract huge quantities of soil, overburden, and minerals in surface mining operations. This work is part of De-Construction, a series that uses heavy-duty machinery as a metaphor for the technological, economic, and cultural systems that shape contemporary reality.
