Alamut: From Memory to Digital Heritage
By kamal barlas · AU
Alamut: From Memory to Digital Heritage explores the transformation of historical memory into accessible digital knowledge. Using the mountain fortress of Alamut as a symbolic point of departure, the work moves from physical architecture and manuscript culture toward a networked digital environment. It reflects on how fragile cultural memory can be preserved, reinterpreted and made accessible across generations through digital technologies. The work is connected to the broader mission of the Hassan Sabbah Knowledge and Research Center (HSKRC), an independent initiative focused on historical knowledge, digital heritage and public access to research.
