The Road Behind, the Road Ahead
By 朱燕萍 · CN
This music video is structured around a dual narrative of father-and-son and mother-and-daughter running in parallel. Centered on the themes of the passage of time, the reversal of roles, and steadfast companionship, it employs tender storytelling to recreate the emotional full circle in which parents watch over their children’s childhood and children in turn care for their parents in old age. Through delicate cinematic language, it gives expression to a Chinese mode of familial love—healing, lyrical, and deeply resonant. A lifetime’s road behind—you; a lifetime’s road ahead—me.
