Look for the Yeses

“Look for the Yeses” plays with words and patterns. Beneath the surface of smile emojis and refusals, a few hidden “yeses” remain. The composition evokes a city map or a maze – dense and disorienting. Repeated words like “NO” and “BUT” form a kind of urban texture, while scattered smile emojis act as signposts or landmarks. It’s easy to lose yourself in this terrain, but the drawing insists on hope: the “yeses” are there, if one is patient enough to cross through the noise. The work questions how we inhabit limits – linguistic, emotional, and social. The viewer’s gaze wanders through a maze of denial, confusion, and digital smiling masks, discovering that there is no straight path toward what is worth finding.
