The Game of Fate
By VHadzhiyska · BG
A theatrical exploration of identity, vanity and the roles we construct for ourselves. The rooster, transformed into an almost human protagonist, stands between instinct and performance, surrounded by symbols of chance, desire, status and self-perception. The fractured mirror questions whether the image we create of ourselves can ever remain whole, while the discarded crown suggests that power may be something we perform rather than possess. The work creates a dialogue between an original physical painting and its photorealistic continuation, allowing the same symbolic character to cross from one visual reality into another.
