Y-401: The Architecture of Lost Time
By Dragan Škondrić · BA
Y-401: The Architecture of Lost Time Y-401: The Architecture of Lost Time is a human-directed AI-generated artwork that explores the relationship between ancient civilizations, temporal identity, memory, and speculative systems of knowledge. At the center of the composition stands a monumental stone figure surrounded by celestial structures, symbolic markings, geometric cycles, and numerical traces. The image brings together the visual language of archaeology, cosmology, and future-oriented abstraction. The conceptual foundation of the work is informed by the KDS Calendar framework, which shaped the artwork's temporal and symbolic logic. Rather than illustrating the framework literally, the image transforms its ideas into an atmospheric visual environment. The work reflects on how human cultures attempt to preserve identity across time, and how future systems—including artificial intelligence—may reinterpret what survives of that memory. By combining monumental stillness with cosmic motion, Y-401 imagines a world in which civilizations do not vanish completely, but persist through symbols, structures, and acts of reconstruction.
