CORROSION
By Own° · JP
CORROSION explores what happens when beauty is allowed to deteriorate rather than remain complete. A jewel-like lemon is gradually overtaken by an unfamiliar corrosive substance, yet the process of decay becomes visually seductive in itself. The work questions whether deterioration must be understood as damage, or whether beauty can continue to exist while an ordered form is being undone. In a time when images can be endlessly generated and perfected, the work turns attention toward transformation, fragility, and the shifting meaning we assign to change.
