What the Machine Remembers
By MataKota · MY
What the Machine Remembers explores what happens when lived human memory is translated into machine-readable form. A fictional Malaysian child carries fragments of family, home, handwriting, rain, culture and place within her silhouette. As those memories move toward a cold digital archive, they become dots, grids and incomplete reconstructions. The work asks what technology can preserve, what it simplifies, and what quietly disappears in translation.
