An Imagined Afternoon is a quiet moment suspended between reality and fantasy. In a sunlit Mediterranean café, a woman and her cat share an ordinary afternoon that feels strangely timeless. Pastel colors, the sea, flowers, fashion and familiar café details come together to create a place that feels real, yet could only exist in imagination. The work explores the idea of an invented memory — a moment that feels remembered even though it may never have happened. The woman and her companion seem to belong to this fictional world completely, sharing a quiet pause away from the noise and demands of everyday life. There is something comforting about imagining a place where nothing needs to happen. No destination, no particular story — just the sea, a cup of coffee, a beloved companion and a few hours outside of ordinary time. For me, the image is less about depicting a specific place than about creating a feeling: the sensation of remembering somewhere you have never actually been.
